The last edition of the catalog in 1993 was 350 pages and listed 15,000 models.ĭuring the mid-1970s, the Langs contracted with several companies, including Tin Wizard, Western Models and AMR (André Marie Ruf) as suppliers of the models they desired. The brothers distributed many different marques of mainly 1:43 scale models and began to publish the famous Danhausen World Model Car Book annually from 1971 to 1993, which was the last word in available 1:43 scale models worldwide. At this time the Langs moved into selling model cars both over-the-counter and by mail order. As time passed it focused more on toys and by 1971 the company was owned by the Grandsons of Emma Danhausen, Hans Peter and Paul Gunter Lang. Our assumption is that our customers would rather pay a little more to get their items in good condition.Danhausen was a trade company established in 1921 which sold a variety of products like bicycles and motorscooters. We pass on the cost of boxes and materials at cost as part of the shipping fee. Our boxes are made for us to our own specification and are tough enough to prevent all but the most determined mail workers from damaging the contents (of course we compensate if items arrive damaged – excluding deliveries to designated high risk countries – see above). We always use new, high quality packaging materials. We work hard to get the best deal we can on postage. Because of the volume of parcels we send out we are able to get a good discount from Royal Mail which we pass on to our customers. This is the list of countries for which parcels are sent via International Tracked, it may change from time to time. Most non-UK destinations default to the 'Rest of World' shipping rate however there are some countries where there is a greater risk of parcels going astray and orders from those countries default to the 'International Tracked' rate, at present these rates cannot be over ridden.
